Is a hotel pick-up included?

All guided tours run from several location points (in Costa Teguise,Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen), and you will need to make your own way to one of these. It has been implemented to save you time sitting on a coach that calls at each hotel in Lanzarote – that’s a lot of hotels! The result is a fluid and punctual tour that will add to your enjoyment of the day.

Where will my tour depart from?

The pick-up locations are arranged so that you do not need to travel too far to your nearest point. The actual location will be given at the time of booking when you advise us of your hotel. In the event that you do not have your hotel information available at the time of booking, you will be advised of your pick-up point when you call to reconfirm your tour in resort.

What time does the tour depart?

Grand Tour

Depart from the pick up point. Head towards the south of the island in the direction of Macher passing through Yaiza. The excursion goes on to the small village of El Golfo with a stop for admiring the Laguna Verde , a lake emerged in the centre of a crater with an intense green colour that is produced by the concentration of algae. Then you will follow along the coast line past the boiling pots ("Los Hervideros") and towards the colourful salt flats of El Janubio.

The tour then takes in the Timanfaya National Park , where you will see amazing geothermal experiments that demonstrate the immense power of the heat just below the surface. From there you will go on the crater route which will reveal you the best views of the Timanfaya´s lava fields.

After an appetizing three course lunch provided in a typical Canarian village the tour will head towards the very interesting area of "La Geria" where the vineyards are. There you will hear about the history of the region and have a wine-tasting opportunity in one of the traditional bodegas of the area.

The tour then pass the "Monumento al Campesino"(The Farmworker Monument) in the centre of the island before heading towards Teguise, the former capital. Then you will follow to the north of the island passing through Los Valles where you arrive at the highest point of the island, Peñas del Chache, which at 678m gives you breathtaking views of the north eastern coastline. There you will have an opportunity to take photos before the coach proceeds on to Haria and the Valley of a Thousand Palms. Afterwards you will reach "Mirador Guinate", which will give you another fantastic view of the three islands just across the water from Lanzarote (La Graciosa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza).

On the way back stop at Jameos del Agua, an open lava cave where the creative mind of César Manrique left his unmistakable mark.

It will be a long day, but a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable one.

North Tour

Depart from the pick up point. Head towards the north of the island in the direction of Teguise, the old capital, and follow towards ´Los Valles( The Valleys ) you will reach the highest point on the island Peñas del Chache which at 678m gives you breathtaking views of the north eastern coastline and Haria (Valley of a 1000 palms). Then the excursion goes on to the 'Guinate Tropical Park', where you will see thousands of exotic bird, monkeys and many more different animals, not forgetting of course the parrot show.

The viewpoint at Guinate will give you another fantastic view of the three islands just across the water from Lanzarote (La Graciosa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza).

The next stop will be 'Jameos del Agua' the beautiful open lava cave formed over 3000yrs ago, where the creative mind of César Manrique left his unmistakable mark.

On the way back stop at the César Manrique Foundation (not included) where you will be able to see how the Lanzarote’s famous artist adapted five volcanic bubbles into the rooms of his house and a collection of his paintings and architectural designs.

South Tour

Depart from the pick up point. The journey starts in the direction of Macher, through the village of Uga and down towards Yaiza. Now onto ´El Golfo` with a stop for admiring the Laguna Verde , a lake emerged in the centre of a crater with an intense green colour that is produced by the concentration of algae, this area has been the location for many films. From here we drive to the National Park of Timanfaya (Fire Mountains) where you will have the possibility to ride on a camel (not included).

We take you now to the hottest place on the island ´Islote de Hilario` where you will see demonstration of the heat from below the surface and then we go around the crater route which will reveal you the best views of the Timanfaya´s lava fields. There you will also be told all about this historic eruption which took place during the 18th century.

Time to relax now as we go down into the village of ´Yaiza` for lunch and then we´ll drive to La Geria to see the vineyards, we also make a stop in one of the Bodegas to taste the local wines Malvasia and Moscatel , From here we arrive at Mozaga the monument 'El Campesino'. (The Farmworker), designed and built by César Manrique and then we make our way back to your destinations arriving at approximately 5.30pm.

Fuerteventura Tour

Departure from Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero towards the Playa Blanca quay, there you will have the opportunity to look around this most southern part of the island for 40 minutes before boarding the ferry to Fuerteventura. Then getting to Fuerteventura takes only 20 minutes.

Our journey starts from ´Corralejo` towards the dunes , the almost endless white beaches of this beautiful island. We then head down to ´Lajares` and ´La Oliva` (typical Canarian village) and go to ´Betancuria`. Betancuria is a very old and historic village with many wonderful buildings. After our stop we continue on to ´Pajara, Antigua and Caleta del Fuste`, which is on the coast. Then starts our journey back to Corralejo, where you will board the ferry for our return to Lanzarote, arriving at approximately 7pm.

A very good lunch is provided and included in the price of this excursion.

Teguise, the old capital of Lanzarote, with its palaces, historic convents and narrow and well-kept cobbled streets is the place where each Sunday tourists and locals alike are warmly welcomed to an open market.

There are many different stalls, where you will have a chance to buy typical Canarian handicrafts such as tablecloths, earthenware and paintings etc, As well as these you´ll also find handbags, shoes, clothing and much more besides.

In the centre of the town is the church square where groups of musicians entertain the crowds throughout the morning, with folklore dancing.
